Hi My Beauties,
Just wanted to get the word out about how to build up consistency with growing out your hair.
Here is some info you may or may not already know.
To grow Long and Strong hair, that is to say African American Hair in particular,
moisture content in our hair should be 15% percent. The average person is between 8 to 10% percent. Yet due to what African American styling techniques and procedures such as curling irons, blow dryers, flat irons etc. African Americans hair moisture levels fall much lower than
8% percent which leads to breakage, dryness, and thinning sides, which has resulted in our lack of growing hair beyond the nape of our neck. Natural hair products high in natural oils are essential to aiding the hair to retain moisture and produce growth. There are several product lines that are out that have high content quality products that create moisture in hair:
Ojon, Beauty4Ashes, Carol's Daughter, Miss Jessies, Nexxus.
There are also some foods that can be very beneficial to hair growth as well,
such as almonds, sea weed, flax seed, fruits and veggies.
Also, to prevent breakage 100% pure Shea butter if applied to the ends of your hair will prevent breakage.
